Software Trainer

(San Diego, CA or Remote)

Here's the gist...

A software trainer will be primarily responsible for helping new and existing RMS clients get their pro,perty up and running on our property management system. This person will act as the key point of contact between the RMS clients and their staff /implementation team. Trainers are central to the success of the property’s adoption and success with RMS. Each training is considered its own project, so trainers will be managing all aspects of it whether onsite or remote. Trainers are accountable for the delivery of training and implementation services for each new client. The position requires contact with property owners or general managers to plan, schedule, and deliver installation, training, and support of RMS. This role will report directly to the Training Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, execute, and project management required when training new and existing RMS clients.
  • Own all aspects of your account’s training, including kick-off calls/meetings to ensure the customer fully understands the install expectations, and process.  
  • Complete the installation of each site/property based upon the training schedule provided for remote training and onsite training. 
  • Serve as the first point of escalation during initial property setup. 
  • Manage all technical aspects of the new property install, including (but not limited to): integrations, databases, property-specific configurations, and applications.
  • Ensure that the training process is implemented and communicated and consistently administered in compliance with organizational objectives.
  • Meet the goals and objectives, policies, procedures, schedules, and similar functions relative to the training department’s operations. 
  • Continually seek and support new approaches, practices, and processes to improve the efficiency of the training services provided. 


A little more about you...

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Hospitality industry i.e. working at hotels/resorts in the front office, reservations, etc.
  • Experience working with software implementations and understanding what goes into training users on a new application.
  • Experience in training and/or personnel development in the same or similar industry.
  • Innovative, strong decision-maker, and outstanding facilitator of learning and change.
  • Experience with needs assessments, course development, and design, and presentation/facilitation of professional training courses.
  • Strategic thinker with fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn/understand new end-user technology and be able to transfer the skill of using the technology to others. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Technical aptitude and highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Advanced ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work shifts as the RMS training department supports customers across North & South America.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% in the future.
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
